Chinese company Huadian HongKong Co., Ltd. Will Invest in Energy in Aceh




The Government of Aceh signed a cooperation document with Chinese company Huadian HongKong Co., Ltd., which will invest in renewable energy in Aceh.

In the event that took place on Wednesday (27/09/2017) in Jakarta, the Chinese company Huadian HongKong Co., Ltd. signed a cooperation with the Office of Investment and Integrated Services One Pintu Aceh, and the Governor of Aceh drh. Irwandi Yusuf, M.Sc also signed as a witness of investment plan in Aceh focused on Hydro power.

This was conveyed by Head of Public Relations and Protocol Bureau of Aceh Government, Mulyadi Nurdin, Lc, MH, Thursday (28/09/2017).

Quoting statement from Aceh Governor Irwandi Yusuf Mulyadi Nurdin said Chinese company Huadian HongKong Co., Ltd. has so far succeeded in investing and building the Asahan No.1 Power Plant Project, Lafarge Lafarge Steam Coal Power Plant, Batam Steam Power Plant Project , Bali Steam Power Project in Indonesia.

In addition, continued Mulyadi Nurdin, CHD is a company that currently invests in a number of countries such as Russia, US, Peru and Bangladesh.

"As an international investment platform wholly owned by China Huadian HongKong Co., Ltd., they have expertise in financing the development, development and operation of coal-fired power plants, hydroelectric power plants, wind and solar power plants and are keen to expand its business in Indonesia, "Said Mulyadi quoted from Irwandi Yusuf.

Mulyadi further explained, the MoU aims to develop electricity capacity in Aceh about 2,000 MW with a total investment of about 5 billion USD. "But if there is a higher need in Aceh, the value of this investment can be increased, because this MoU is common," he said.



To note, China Huadian Corporation is one of five national electricity producers wholly owned by the state and governed by the State Assets and State Administration Commission of China State Council. With a worldwide operating capacity of 143 GW and a total revenue of US $ 27 billion, the CHD is ranked 331 at the Fortune 500 in 2016.
