This was explained by the Head of Public Relations and Protocol Bureau of Aceh Mulyadi Nurdin, Saturday (16/9/17), after following the coordination meeting of Sabang Sailing Preparation with the Coordinating Ministry of Maritime Affairs in Jakarta, Saturday (16/09/2017).
"Various preparations continue to be matured, and essentially Sail Sabang is ready to be held," said Mulyadi Nurdin.
Sail Sabang will begin on 28 November to 5 December 2017. The location of its operation will be at four points, namely; Sabang Bay, Sabang Fair, Gapang Resort, and Point 0 Km.
While the peak of the event will take place in Pasiran, Sabang Bay, which is scheduled to be attended by Indonesian President Joko Widodo.
At the event, later attended by the owners of yachts (yachter). Prior to Sabang, the yachter is scheduled to sail past Kupang, Badas, West Nusa Tenggara, Banyuwangi, Karimunjawa, Belitung and Bintan. They are expected to arrive in Sabang on December 1, 2017.
Mulyadi Nurdin expects Sail Sabang 2017 event should be a tourism promotion event of Aceh and can be utilized by all parties as a moment of economic improvement.
Mulyadi Nurdin added that Sail Sabang will also be filled with various attractions, among others, presenting KRI Bima Suci and KRI Dewa Ruci, Mass Dance, Sabang Wonderful Expo, Aceh Fun Dive, Welcoming Islamic Cruise presence with 2000 Muslim tourists who will dock at CT3 terminal and left for Baiturrahman Great Mosque, Banda Aceh.
In addition, there are also Jamboree of Science and Technology, Wonderful Sabang, Sabang Underwater Contes, Pemuda Nusantara Ship, Blog Writing Competition, Coffee and Culinary Festival, Paramotor Exhibition, Traditional Ship Parade, Sendratari Keumalahayati, Aerobatic Show, City Tour Sabang-Banda Aceh, Fishing competitions as well as several other events.
